How can I arrange a charter?

Rent a boat with Yachtpon, it’s simple, secure and hassle free process which involves the following steps:


  1. Browse Yachtpon’s web. Once entering our website make sure that you insert all criteria such as destination, check-in and check-out dates.
  2. Select your favourable boat(s). When you spot the boat you wish, click on either ‘Request Offer’ to receive a personalised offer based on your requirements, or click ‘Ask for information’ for any queries you may have.
  3. Reserve your boat. If your requested boat is available and you want to accept the offer, you should just fill in your boat holiday request and send it back to us.
  4. Pay to secure your booking. An email with a link to complete your booking will be sent to you. Follow the instructions to make your first deposit or whole payment.
  5. Charter details. Our team will send you all the information you need as well as the boat owner/captain/ skipper’s contact details.

Do I need a licence to rent a boat?

No, the majority of our boat listings come with a Skipper/Captain.

Could I rent a boat without a skipper/captain?

Yes, there are bareboat listings for those who have an internationally recognised license. However, you should contact us in advance to examine if your license is valid in your chosen destination.

How much time does it take to respond after I send an offer request?

It usually takes less than 24 hours to inform you whether the requested boat is available.

Can charter prices change?

Yes, every offer sent to a traveller is valid for 10 days, and thereafter the charter price may change. This’s subject to the time of the year and any discount applied.

Are there any additional costs?

Additional costs can differ depending upon the boat/ charter company- every boat listing goes along with services that are included in the price and a list of excluded extras. Normally, additional costs could be crew, fuel charges, marina and cleaning fees.

What are the payment terms?

The payment of the first instalment of the charter price – usually 10% – is due immediately upon booking. The charter will then send you a ‘Charter Agreement’/contract tailored upon the destination with details with regards to when the charter balance is due.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Holidaymakers will get a full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of receiving the ‘Charter Agreement’. After that time, the contract will tell you the terms for a refund in case of cancellation.
